What size dumpster do you recommend for my job?At Your Disposal offers 15, 20, and 30 yard dumpsters. Our 30 yard dumpsters are by far the most popular selection of our customers for general, yard, or construction waste. A 30-yard dumpster is approximately 22 feet long, 8 feet wide, and 6 feet tall and can hold up to 12 tons. The 30-yard dumpster would be appropriate for most construction sites, large roof tear-offs, or major demolition projects. If you have limited space to place the dumpster and you are tackling a smaller remodel, small-to-medium roof tear-off, or small yard project, you may want to consider our 15, or 20 yard dumpsters. The 15-yard dumpster is approximately 16 feet long, 8 feet wide, and 3.5 feet deep. The 20-yard dumpster is the same length and width as the 15-yard dumpster but offers an extra 1.5 feet of depth at 5 feet. Give us a call and describe your project and we will give you our recommendation.

Can I place the dumpster on the street?Placement of a dumpster on a public street may require traffic control, public Right-Of-Way, or parking permits depending on your location. Please check with your local municipality before requesting the dumpster be placed curbside. All renters are responsible for securing necessary permits. Will a rolloff dumpster damage my driveway? Most driveways are unharmed when rolloff dumpsters are placed on them. However, there is always the potential for damage depending on several factors including; the quality, age, and material of the driveway, the load and weight distribution of materials placed in the container, and the slope of the driveway. For example, some concrete driveways are prone to chipping from poor installations and additional damage may occur when placing a dumpster on these driveways. AYD is not liable for any damage occuring from the normal operation of placing and retrieving our dumpsters. Our metal roller wheels are approximately 12 inches in width. Boards or plywood sheets at least this width may be used underneath the wheels to prevent damage to surfaces. These materials would need to be supplied by the customer.

Are any materials prohibited from from disposal in AYD dumpsters?Electronics, Paint, Oil, Gasoline, Antifreeze, Batteries, Propane, Fluorescents, Asbestors, Chemicals, or any other hazardous materials as defined by the EPA https://www.epa.gov/hw/learn-basics-hazardous-waste are not allowed in our dumpsters. Please check with us if you are unsure if any of your materials are considered hazardous.
-
Is there a weight or size limit of the materials I am disposing of?Materials need to be below the rim line of the dumpsters and there should be no materials overhanging the sides of the dumpsters. This is one of the reasons the 30-yard container is our most popular choice. All our loads are covered when we transport them to the waste facilities. Our maximum load limit is 12 tons of materials (24,000 lbs), though we recommend lighter loads where possible. Hometown Demolition Contractors provides calculations to help you estimate the weight of Construction and Demolition (C&D) materials, concrete waste, and landscape waste. See the link here. https://www.hometowndemolitioncontractors.com/blog/how-many-dumpsters-does-it-take-to-demolish-a-house Please note that we include 3 tons (6,000 lbs) in our base price. Each additional ton will incur a $30/ton charge. This additional charge is primarily due to the additional fees we are required to pay to dump the materials.

What forms of payment does AYD allow?AYD accepts all major credit cards, checks, and Venmo. For commercial projects, we are happy to set up regular invoicing and payment cycles with your company.
-
How long can I keep the dumpster for my project?Customers may keep our dumpsters onsite for up to 7 days. If you want it gone sooner or need it a little longer, let us know and we will work something out.
-

We are capable of supporting large, multi-year projects and we are happy to share our experience with these types of projects. Let's discuss your project.

Can I share the dumpster with a neighbor?Absolutely! What a great way to get to get to know your neighbors. Who knows, you may even find their trash useful. We will still need one rental agreement and one form of payment though. This is a great way to share the cost. We recommend the 30-yard dumpster.
-
Can the material be recycled?Yes! In fact, we prefer to recycle every load possible. Unfortunately, mixed waste cannot be recycled. However, loads consisting entirely of green waste, or dirt, or clean concrete (without rebar) may be recycled at one of a handful of facilities along the Wasatch Front. Help protect our local environment by asking about recycling your materials. We are capable of delivering multiple containers to your job site to enable improved rates of recycled materials (discounts apply!).

How much does it cost to rent a dumpster in Utah? Most dumpster rental prices across the Wasatch Front range from $250 - $450. However, many companies, even the ones that say their price includes everything, tack on additional charges that may not be stated upfront. Some charge additional fees for delivery, pickup, extra tons, extra days, longer distances, cancellation fees, relocation fees, or inaccessible locations/blocked dumpsters. At Your Disposal believes in offering the best prices and service. We do have a base tonnage and base # of days included with our rentals. Dump sites charge us to dump by the ton, not the load, which is why all dumpster companies are charging for extra tons. If they aren't they are likely over charging the average customer. The base # of days is to help control dumpster availability and to make sure the dumpsters are available for the next customer. This helps us maintain our delivery commitments to our customers.
